Terms of Service
Effective August 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of Find Your North (the “Service”), operated by Evermark Ventures (“we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Find Your North is a community events calendar for New York’s North Country. Listings come from event organizers and from public sources, which we excerpt and link back to. Events change: times, venues, and availability are controlled by their organizers, not by us. Always confirm important details with the organizer before attending.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Posting — one entity per posting plan
- A posting plan licenses posting for a single named entity (an “Organizer Profile”) — one organization, business, venue, team, performer, league, congregation, club, school group, or community group of any kind.
- Posting on behalf of additional entities requires an additional posting plan for each entity, even if one person manages all of them, and regardless of what kind of entities they are. One person managing ten entities — in any mix — needs ten posting plans, one per entity.
- Posting events for an undisclosed or misattributed entity to avoid per-entity fees is a material breach. We may remove such listings and suspend the account without refund.
4. Pricing
- Posting plan: $1 per month, per Organizer Profile. Covers posting and managing that entity’s events for the paid month.
- Subscriber plan: $1 per month. Covers personal features such as calendar-feed subscriptions that deliver chosen events to your own phone or desktop calendar.
- During the free preview period these features may be available without charge; we will announce before billing begins. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. Fees are billed through Stripe and are non-refundable for the current month; cancelling stops future renewals.
- Cancel any time through the billing portal linked from your account, or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Events already posted under a lapsed posting plan remain listed — the fee covers posting, not continued listing.
5. Content
You keep ownership of content you post. You grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the Service and in calendar feeds. You warrant that your listings are accurate and that you have the right to post them. We may edit for formatting, categorize, or remove content that violates these terms. Third-party listings we index remain the property of their sources; we display excerpts with links to the original.
Photo submissions. If you submit a photograph (for example, to a backdrop photo contest), you keep ownership and grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the Service with credit. You warrant that you took the photo or hold its rights, and that any recognizable people in it (including parental consent for minors) have agreed to its use here.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email codyngoodwin@gmail.com with: the work you own, the URL of the material, your contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove or disable access to infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers.
6. Acceptable use
- No false, misleading, or unlawful listings.
- No spam, bulk scraping of the Service, or attempts to break or overload it.
- No impersonating another person or organization.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that listings are complete, accurate, or current, and we are not responsible for events themselves — their cancellation, changes, safety, or quality. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you post or your breach of these terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections 5–9 survive termination.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the effective date above and notify account holders by email or in-app notice; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
