Privacy Policy

Find Your North (“we,” “us”) is an events calendar for New York’s North Country, operated by Evermark Ventures. This policy describes what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. We never see or store your password for those providers; email/password accounts are managed by our authentication provider (Supabase) and we never store plaintext passwords.
• Saved items. Events you save, organizers you follow, and calendar-feed subscriptions you create, linked to your account.
• Payment information. If paid plans are active, payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store card numbers; we store only your subscription status and billing identifiers.
• Device storage. We use browser storage (localStorage/sessionStorage) for preferences such as your selected county, hidden organizers, and whether the intro screen has played. This stays on your device.
• Logs. Our hosting providers (Netlify, Supabase) keep standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and reliability.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
• We do not post to your Google or Facebook accounts.

How we use information

To operate the calendar, sign you in, remember your saves and follows, deliver calendar feeds you subscribe to, process payments for paid plans, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database and authentication), Netlify (hosting), Stripe (payments, when active), and Google / Meta for optional sign-in. Each processes your data only to provide their service to us. Event listings shown on the calendar are drawn from public sources and are excerpted with a link to the original source.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Past event listings are retained for up to one year to power the calendar’s history view. Logs are retained by our providers on their standard schedules.

Data deletion

You can delete your data at any time. Email codyngoodwin@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email address on your account, and we will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days and confirm by reply. If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove Find Your North from your Facebook settings under “Apps and Websites” — then send the email above and we will delete everything we received.

Children

Find Your North is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes affecting account holders, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
