Anyone can put an event on Find Your North without paying us anything. A church supper, a school game, a town board meeting, a benefit — all of it, free, for as long as this site exists. That is not a trial period.
What you pay for never affects where your event appears. We don’t sell placement, we don’t sell ads, and nobody can buy their way to the top of the calendar. A one-person bake sale sits in exactly the same place as a business that contributes every year. That is the whole point of building this — the other event sites are congested with whoever paid the most, and we would rather not be one of them.
Local Community Contributor
Running this costs money — servers, the domain, the tools that read your flyers. If you can chip in $12 or more, you become a Local Community Contributor. That gets you a badge on your listings, and the two things that actually cost us money to provide.

Restaurants: post your specials
There is a Food Deals category for restaurants, bars and cafés. Taco Tuesday, the Friday fish fry, a happy hour, a soup of the week — post it once with the dates it runs and it shows up on the calendar alongside everything else happening that day. People planning their evening see your special at the moment they’re deciding where to go.
It’s free to post those too. Contributing just means you can show a photo of the food instead of a stock picture of a diner.
How to contribute
Card payment through Stripe — pick any amount from $12 up. It applies to your account the moment it goes through, so your next listing can carry your own photo. If you’d rather hand us a cheque at the farmers market, get in touch and we’ll switch your account over the same day.
If you can’t contribute
Then don’t. Post your events anyway. A calendar that only lists the people who could afford it would be useless to the North Country, and it would not be worth running.
